How does Professional Organizing work?

It’s nothing like what you see on TV! We won’t wrestle your beloved items away from you, and it is not completed in 30 minutes. Instead, we will discuss your needs and identify what currently works in your home or office and what doesn’t. Then, we will get to work: sort through what you have, get rid of what you don’t need or want, review what items are left, and find permanent homes for each and every item. Finally, we will make an easy-to-follow plan so you can maintain your newly found space!

What can I expect from my Professional Organizing Session?

First, we’ll take some time to talk on the phone; hiring a Professional Organizer is a very personal decision and you want to make sure your organizer is someone with whom you feel comfortable. Remember, you are about to go through your stuff and make lots of decisions with your organizer! We’ll also schedule a brief assessment where we can start to plan what we’ll need to do and how we’ll want to do it. Finally, we’ll schedule a session (or several sessions) to start the hands-on organizing. As we work, we’ll discuss uses and arrangements for the space and we’ll develop a plan to help keep your newly organized space looking – and feeling – the way it does when we finish.

How much does it cost?

It depends. Each space is different and each client’s needs are different. After your first session you and your organizer will assess your progress during that session and determine if additional sessions are needed.

When can I schedule my session?

Our sessions are normally scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00AM and 2:00PM

How do I know I can trust my Organizer?

As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and of the NAPO Austin chapter, your organizer at Found Space Organizing adheres to the strict NAPO Code of Ethics. We are fully insured and we will always respect you and your property. You can also be assured that your time and all communication with your organizer will remain private and confidential.

Is Found Space Organizing a franchise or chain operation?

No. Found Space Organizing is proud to be a locally owned and operated business serving the Greater Austin community.

What is flow?

Flow is the ability to get things done easily and efficiently. Creating good flow is a matter of understanding your needs for completing a task or using a space in your home, knowing your goals, and identifying all the potential obstacles. We will work together to arrange your space around the functions you need. And we’ll build in solutions to the every-day problems that get in the way so your path to good flow is uninterrupted.
